Help Bring Baby Harlow Home from CHOP!

I am raising money for my close friends, Drew and Taylor Hanselman. Drew and Taylor welcomed their daughter to the world on March 3, 2023. Harlow was 3 weeks early, and following a successful c-section, they noticed that their daughter was experiencing difficulty breathing at times. After being transferred to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), it was discovered that she has a severe cleft palate.

Since her birth, Harlow has been in the NICU at CHOP, and her small jaw makes her tongue fall back and choke her since she has the palate. Cleft palate surgery can’t be done until she’s 9-12 months old. In the meantime, she recently had a jaw extension surgery to help with her breathing, which went great!

However, Drew and Taylor are still unable to take Harlow home and will likely be at CHOP for another 2-3 weeks until she’s healthy enough to come home. This has been a challenging time for them emotionally and financially, and they have been staying in a Ronald McDonald House near CHOP for over a month now. The expenses are starting to add up, and they need financial help.

***UPDATE - APRIL 20, 2023***

We received an update on baby Harlow; she has been making a great recovery and after a second sleep study she no longer needs a c-pap machine and will only need her feeding tube going forward. They should be coming home by the end of the week!
