The Grouts
Donation protected
As a South Metro Firefighter, Patrick Grout is typically the one offering aid and assistance. Patrick is usually the one running towards the danger and to the people who need help. Patrick is used to doing the rescuing, but this time it is different. This time it is Patrick and his family that need the support. Now, he is trying to save his young wife, Allison, after she just received a breast cancer diagnosis. Now, the family that spends so much time and sacrifice helping our community could use their own help.
Patrick and Allie Grout were in the midst of just starting their family with their 2-year-old and 4-month-old little girls when Allie noticed the lump that all women fear. Allie knows with a stage 2 breast cancer diagnosis that she has a long, hard road ahead of her, but she also knows many people are fighting along with her and for her. She is not alone. Allie began a very aggressive treatment plan on Nov 16th. She will have chemotherapy treatments every day for the next 12 weeks and then every week for another 12 weeks, followed by her first surgery. After surgery, she will begin radiation treatments every day for another 3 weeks and then finally, hopefully, the last surgery of this long fight. Let’s show her she is not alone!
Please join us in giving back to someone who has selflessly and humbly done so much for our community and our families. Please help us, help the Grouts conquer this monster and get back to raising their children and allow Patrick to return to focusing on saving other people’s children. When tragedy strikes, people come together. People come together to love and support each other. Together they lift each other up and offer help in many ways. Patrick has seen this first-hand over and over again during his career as a firefighter, and now it’s time for us to band together to help save his
family until this battle has been won.
