Bintliff’s Corner Brew Flood Damage Repair Fund
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Dennis and my family is a weekly customer at Bintliff’s Corner Brew in Gardiner, Maine. On the week before Christmas of this year 2023, the Kennebec River rose to historic flood levels not seen since 1987 from a 2-day wind and rain storm that is unprecedented for this time of year. The flood waters caused catastrophic damage to many area homes and businesses along the river valley.
I am asking our community, Mainers all over the state and anyone from
beyond with a love for small business to please consider donating to help Roger Bintliff and his amazing staff cover the cost of damages to their restaurant equipment. Insurance is covering the building and property but not the contents inside. Over $150k in food, freezers, refrigerators, ovens, and other appliances were lost in this disaster.
If you’ve never been to Bintliff’s Corner Brew, the experience is almost magical. The incredibly friendly staff, willing to do anything for their customers, is where it all starts. They never question anyone who is in need and provide coffee at no cost. I’ve seen them offer pastries at the end of the day that would otherwise be discarded to folks who can’t afford to eat. The kitchen cleanliness and quality is top notch, and Chef Roger will make your order any way you like it with a big smile that can’t help but brighten your day. The environment in the dining room is lively and full of community. Sometimes it’s quiet but most times it’s busy, and for good reason. This place is a brunch destination for Central Maine.
Gardiner is a small, humble and quiet riverside community. The people here are incredible and will do anything to help each other. We simply CAN NOT lose Bintliff’s Corner Brew! Please, if you are willing and able, consider giving to this campaign to keep our coffee shop open.
