The Green Guy "Steven P Garza" Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Hello Facebook, my name is Mia J Garza and my Dad is Steven P Garza-Scultz. As many of you know my Dad has been battling Advanced Stage IV Prostate Cancer since 2019. The latest CATSCAN 2 months ago, the cancer cells have spread to his spine, particulary small tumors in his cervical region C3-6. The only place it hasn't spread isin his brain. My Dad has insurance but unfortunately they do not cover everything especially after receiving help from The American Cancer Society. Since my Dad has elected to turn down another round of chemo and radiation because he was told he would have a 10% survival rate afte chemo. My Dad would never ever ask anyone for anything. He's too proud but the past 3 and a half years he's ran thru his life savings to cover whatever procedures were only covered by a fraction of insurance. They are ridiculously expensive.
Thru The C.W. Bill Young Foundation, they were able to find a matched unrelated donor in California. It's a 3 day process. I'm asking for your help, whether you know my Dad or not. My Dad is a genuinely good person. He raised my brother as a single parent from 2 years old till he met my Mom in late 2004 and now he's a Dad to my 25 year old sister too. Any donation will help my Dad. This will cover transportation to and from California and the Hospital stay. Because of my Dad's level of Platelets and being in late Stage IV, his Drs advised against flying.
My Dad is all I have left as my Mom passed away in October 2019 from heart complications. My dream is of course for my Dad to somehow go into remission but I want my Dad to at least see me walk down to the stage and receive my Hih School Diploma. There are other programs that will help but unfortunately time is the enemy. My Dad needs these procedures done now not in a few months.
Me and my Family Thanks You in Advance and we appreciate any help during this difficult time!
Thank you,
Mia J. Garza
