The Great Walk Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
I am a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Port Harcourt with special interests in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. I would love you to join me on my unforgettable journey in support of the Reduction of Maternal Deaths!
Ten years ago, I exerted myself to the summit of the towering Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. At that time, my Mount Kilimanjaro adventure was just a pleasure hike. Now, I am set to challenge stereotypes and shatter myths as I prepare to hike on the Great Wall of China. This time, my will to conquer the Great Wall is a CHARITY PROJECT aimed at raising funds to engage in more high impact research field activities on death during child-birth arising from Preeclampsia/Eclampsia (hypertensive disorders in pregnancy).
From the latest trends in Maternal mortality estimates, Nigeria is in the lead with the highest number of mothers dying from child-birth. Almost 29% of global maternal deaths occur in Nigeria with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy being one of the leading causes. These less-privileged women succumb to these pregnancy-related diseases as they present to the hospital when it is too late and we watch helplessly as they needlessly die.
Your generous donation to this charitable cause will save thousands of expectant mothers and also their unborn babies in Nigeria.
Immense gratitude,
