Since the start of the war in March 2026, Lebanon has been pushed to a breaking point. Over 800,000 people are officially displaced, though we know the true number of families seeking refuge in schools, rented rooms, and on the streets is far higher.
At The Great Oven, our experience has taught us one vital truth: emergency relief is not a one-off event. Displacement is a long-term struggle, and families require consistent, reliable support to survive.
Our Impact Since Early March 2026
We are on the ground every day, ensuring that aid reaches the hands of those who need it most. To date, we have:
- Provided hot meals 6 days a week to 200 displaced individuals.
- Equipped 11 households with portable stoves and gas cylinders, allowing families the dignity of cooking for themselves.
- Distributed over 100 food parcels across 35 informal shelters and provided baby formula and diapers to families on the streets.
- We maintain a strict "Assistance for All" policy, supporting both local and migrant communities who are often overlooked in times of crisis.
- Partnering with grassroots organizations like REMAN to conduct door-to-door distributions, ensuring 100% transparency and direct delivery.
How Your Donation Will Be Used
We are currently supporting 500 individuals between Beirut and the Bekaa. As the situation evolves, our needs are growing. Your contribution allows us to source and distribute:
- Nutrition: Hot meals, food parcels, and baby formula.
- Sanitation: Hygiene kits, diapers, and cleaning products.
- Shelter & Warmth: Mattresses, pillows, blankets, and clothing.
- Direct Support: Cash assistance for families to meet their most urgent, specific needs.
Transparency & Trust
Because GoFundMe does not currently support direct transfers to Lebanese bank accounts, this fundraiser is being managed by Maya Gebeily on our behalf. Funds will be withdrawn to her account and transferred directly to our team in Lebanon.
