The great give back: Jamie Boyd needs our help!

There comes a time, thank goodness, when the strongest and most generous among us need help. This is a gift to all who benefit from our great healers. When we finally get to help someone who has helped so many, it is a chance to reestablish balance and a just, mutually beneficial social ecosystem. It is noble activity to have the opportunity to practice having each other's backs.

Our champion of health, and beloved comrade in our quest for integrity and artistry in health care, Jamie Boyd, is facing challenging conditions in her home living conditions.

A devoted, single mother of two, Jamie has been renting a home for 9 years while serving as San Diego’s greater community's acupuncturist and medical director to a wellness center. Two weeks ago her home was deemed inhabitable and she was forced to move out without notice.

Jamie and her children have found themselves seeking shelter in an extended hotel, in a city where housing options are extremely difficult, if not impossible. She will face rising burdens in sorting through a legal process to protect her rights as a tenant. She will be facing short term interim housing and seeking to secure an affordable longer term situation for her and her children with very little notice or time. Without this basic security, Jamie cannot continue to see patients and help all the humans who have benefitted from her incredible gifts in her medical practice.

It is not an understatement to say that Jamie Boyd has saved lives. Her medical practice has served her patients when western medical doctors could not. She has found and diagnosed so many root causes and conditions of sickness in patients we cannot even begin to recount here. Whoever seeks her care is met with a truly personalized, invested medical artistry...her patients are seen, and felt, and then responded to with great attention and loving detail. The opportunity to help someone who has put so much healing energy and talent into the world is an opportunity to practice reciprocity in a way that deepens the tapestry of our community.

So, now is the time friends, to help Jamie Boyd through this ...so that she can continue being an incredible mom, and Doctor healer to her community.
