ALBUM CONCEPT

The Georgian Songbook VOL. 2 is a deeply personal endeavor for me. It's a heartfelt tribute to some of the most esteemed Georgian composers of the 20th century, individuals whose contributions have left an indelible mark on our cultural heritage. Among them are luminaries such as Giya Kancheli, Gogi Tsabadze, Shota Milorava, Sulkhan Tsintsadze, Revaz Laghidze, Bidzina Kvernadze, and Djansug Kakhidze, whose works continue to resonate with audiences worldwide.

With the generous support of my donors, I had the incredible opportunity to record my debut jazz trio album, FACE TO FACE - Georgian Songbook Vol. 1,” VIDEO EPK

Last year It was a remarkable experience blending beloved melodies with my original compositions. The album was released on January 27th of this year, followed by 4 sold-out shows at Le Duc des Lombards in Paris and a sold-out album release show at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City.

I am deeply thankful for the unwavering support of my donors, whose belief in my music has been truly motivating. It's because of their support that we've been able to extend this musical journey further.

I have made a deliberate choice to diverge from the conventional path. Instead of interpreting American jazz standards with my trio, I sought to breathe new life into the melodies from Georgian films, animations, and musical theater. Through intricate arrangements and soulful performances, I aim to continue in the second volume to showcase the sheer brilliance of these compositions, infusing them with the improvisational spirit of jazz. By sharing these musical treasures with a global audience, I hope to foster a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of Georgian music and its profound cultural significance. Through The Georgian Songbook VOL 2, I aspire to honor the legacies of these remarkable composers while forging new connections and inspiring future generations of musicians.

To ensure the completion of my album, I kindly request financial support to cover the following expenses:

Studio Recording: I estimate that 3 days of studio recording, including the services of the talented sound engineer Vincent Mahey, will amount to $3,000. This cost encompasses the use of professional recording equipment and a comfortable environment that will allow us to capture the best possible performances.

Video Recording Services: I anticipate a budget of $3,000 to cover the expenses related to video recording. This includes hiring a skilled team of videographers and equipment rental to create visually captivating content that complements the music and enhances the overall album experience.

Musician Fees: To bring an exceptional level of musicality to the album, I plan to collaborate with renowned musicians François Moutin and Raphaël Pannier. Their exceptional talent and contribution will elevate the project. I respectfully request a budget of $3,000 to cover their fees, acknowledging their expertise and the value they bring to the album.

Mixing and Mastering: Achieving a polished and professional sound is crucial, and I aim to work with Grammy winner Misha Katchkatchishvili at Esplanade Studios in New Orleans for the mixing and mastering process. I estimate this will cost $3,500, ensuring that the album's sound quality meets the highest industry standards.

Album Artwork: The visual representation of the album is equally important, as it serves as the first impression for potential listeners. To create captivating and visually appealing artwork, I request a budget of $800 to hire a skilled artist who can translate the essence of the music into a compelling visual concept.

PR, Radio, Jazz Journals, Social Media Advertisements: Promoting the album effectively is crucial for its success. To reach a broader audience, I estimate a budget of $6,000 for PR services, including radio promotions, coverage in jazz journals, and targeted social media advertisements. The TOTAL budget required for the completion of the album, considering all the mentioned expenses, amounts to $19,300
