The Graham family to support Hollys needs!!

Hi my name is Lisa, I’ve been friends with sonja for a number of years and have been desperately looking for a way I can help, as a lot of us are all feeling helpless with supporting Holly, Sonja, Kev, Brooke and Max.

On March 25th, Holly (aged 12) unexpectantly lost the feeling in her legs and arms… a few very long worrying days in the hospital with lots of tests, scans, medication and they were no further forward…

Finally transferred to Glasgow for more specialist care and tests, the outcome has been a massive shock for Holly, the family and lots of others.

Holly has suffered from a Spinal Cord Stroke, something which is extremely rare in children. It has affected her from the waist down. It has also affected her bowels and bladder function aswell as the feeling in her legs and hands - which are still not back to normal x

At this point, I’d just like to say what an absolute superstar Holly has been throughout her unexpected journey

Sonja and Holly are now in London receiving more specialist care and intensive rehab, and this is where I have decided we could all help!!

Sonja has been with Holly in hospital since March!!! Holly has even celebrated her 13th birthday in hospital, and as a family, Kev has been working while looking after young max and Brooke even suffering a horrific fall and operation himself!! Kev’s first visit to London with Brooke cost them £1000 meaning they are unsure whether this will be possible again….

They have now been given a date to return to Glasgow, but will not be able to return to the house as it is not accessible for Holly’s wheelchair and needs!!

They are unsure what the future holds, what equipment they will need and the expense of hospital stays/visits and soo much more!

They have gratefully agreed that I could set this up, as they were not keen to look for help and trying their best to get through each day!
