The Goynes Gang Rides Again to find a cure for KD

Tax deductible
We are the Goynes Gang, a family from Texas who are affected by Spinal Bulbar Muscular Atrophy (SBMA) AKA Kennedy’s Disease. Out of five siblings, 3 of the 4 brothers have SBMA and our sister is a Carrier. Sadly another generation in our family is also affected, so we work hard to raise funds for research through the Kennedy’s Disease Association (KDA) to find treatments and a cure!
SBMA is a rare X-linked recessive disease that causes slow progressive neuromuscular degeneration causing muscle weakness and eventually the inability to walk, among other sometimes life-threatening complications.
The KDA works directly with researchers and doctors worldwide, including the NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, to find a cure and this year a clinical trial has begun. This is great news for the families affected by this terrible disease!
The Goynes Gang's goal is to raise donations on behalf of the 11th Annual KD Golf Scramble fundraiser set for Saturday, April 22 in Magnolia, Texas. All are welcome to attend, register to participate in the golfing event, help with sponsoring the breakfast or lunches, bid on auction items, or come out and meet the wonderful families and experience a fun live auction.
For more information please visit the KD Golf Scramble website and download the flyer.
Since 2003, 92% of donations received by the KDA have been used for funding research and education. Please consider donating to this worthy cause – no donation is too small. Soon, with your help, we hope to eliminate this debilitating disease forever! Thank you for your consideration!
