The Gower Epic is a two day long event of climbing and cycling - a biathlon if you will. Starting at Flashpoint Swansea going through all the best sport crags on the Gower and finishing at Rhosilli for some sport climbing and a deep water solo sunset.

We are raising money for the Coastguard as they were the first point of call to our friend Dan and are a fundamental part of the extreme sporting community helping to aid in times of need.

I can only speak from my personal experience with Dan, though I feel many would agree with me, that he was one of the most positive influences on my life to date. He showed unrelenting kindness and encouragement and would go out of his way to ensure that I had every opportunity that he could give me.

His presence in my life went beyond his place in the climbing community. He always had a place at my table, a hot cup of tea when he wanted one, and hours of conversation to fill any long car journey.

From climbing to paragliding to base jumping this outrageous, courageous man had a unique outlook on life and he lived it to the fullest. Dan was a key part of his communities and his mark will remain as long as we embrace his selflessness.
