The City of God is a kingdom movement and parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God based in Glasgow, Scotland. Our mission is to change the spiritual climate of Glasgow, Scotland through the preaching of God’s Word and the praise of God’s name.
Over the last fourteen years we have occupied University lecture halls, hotels and presently a former showroom and its office spaces. Our church family has grown, and the dynamics of our location has changed over the years. It has now become challenging to have worship services, organise children activities, youth services, set up a functional disabled access and park our cars at our present location.
We are excited to announce that we have now purchased an Ultra-Modern Property within the Glasgow area as a place of worship, to house all our para ministry activities and much more. This will include our children's church, youth expression activities, food banks, recreational space for indoor activities and games for young people in the community, an indoor cafe and reading space for a Christian book club.
Furthermore, the purchased property will serve as a base to host our Glasgow must flourish community program which is one of our evangelical outreaches. Our indoor recreational centre will be furnished with TV screens, game consoles, a tabletop football game, ping pong and pool tables. Our Aim is to use the centre to attract teenagers, young adults and the unchurched within the community to a positive relaxing and faith filled environment.
The purpose of the book club is to serve our congregation, the local community and inspire young people through the habit of reading faith empowering books and materials. The Book club will be furnished with a library space, computers and speedy internet. Our desire is that City of God Glasgow will continue to be a haven, for our congregation, student population, transient/established professionals and our local community.
In order to achieve all of these, we need as much support as we can get to raise funds to renovate this purchased property. We ask that you partner with us financially and in your prayers to make the impact God has laid on our hearts a reality.
