This is the story of Jose “Gomie” Gomez. Gomie, a loving husband, dedicated father, and hardworking business leader in our local community. Gomie unexpectedly passed away on Saturday evening. Gomie owned Gription Tire and North Idaho Towing in Sandpoint. Gomie worked around the clock supporting public safety in all conditions.

Gomie never met a stranger. He had a truly unique way of making everyone feel at ease. It didn't matter if you just met Gomie or you knew him for years; he made you feel important. Gomie would literally give you the shirt off his back. We all have stories that highlight Gomie’s generosity. Please share a story of how Gomie positively impacted you.

Gomie was the head of the household and sole provider for the family!

A memorial service for Gomie is scheduled for Friday , October 3rd at noon to 5 pm. The location is the Elks Lodge in Ponderay.
