Please help me in raising money for my scholarship for Marlboro high School. This scholarship will help a passionate women in STEM on their path to success.
The Gold Women in STEM Scholarship was created to recognize and empower women in STEM, a field where females remain significantly underrepresented. The scholarship specifically aims to support women who demonstrate leadership, are academically challenged, and who are passionate about technology.
Named after the Gold sisters who discovered their passion for technology in the Web Design Pathway Program, created in 2020 for Marlboro High School, the scholarship honors their legacy of not only excelling in coding languages and experience, but also actively working to create opportunities for other women in the field.
Hayley Gold, the first to graduate from the program, took on leadership roles within, particularly on the Advisory Board. She made it a priority to recruit young freshmen, specifically targeting female students to spark their interest in technology, while at the same time providing a sense of comfort and encouragement as they considered joining the program.
Her younger sister, Alexa Gold, followed in her footsteps, joining the Advisory Board and continuing to emphasize the importance of having female representation in the program. Alexa’s efforts helped to sustain the program’s mission of ensuring that more women feel supported and inspired to pursue a career in technology.
This scholarship recognizes women who not only excel academically, but who also step up as leaders, and advocates for diversity in technology, making a lasting impact in the program and encouraging other women to pursue and continue their technology career.
Thank you for your support to this great cause.
