A group of us who are splashers and swimmers are making an attempt to swim to or from Óilean Ghabhla on August 11th. The objective is to highlight the benefits of open water swimming and to raise money to support the treatment of Donegal cancer patients and others through flights to Dublin in the year ahead. The North West Cancer Flights, who do outstanding work, also provide counseling services locally. €4000 would fund 120 patient flights or 60 patients and 60 carers.
