The Gladstone’s House Fire Relief
Hello, I’m Sarah Schafrick and i am raising funds to help my best friends and their children with financial help for a recent house fire. The Gladstone’s had just moved in to their new home when their garage had an electrical fire.
On Saturday August 21, 2021, the Gladstone family were woken up around 2 AM by their fire alarms going off because their garage was engulfed in flames. Luckily, everyone made it out safely but the damage that their entire house took is horrendous.
Jon, Rachel, Rylee and Reagan moved into their new home only a week before experiencing this horrifying experience of an electrical fire. As they have just moved into this house, a lot of their belongings were in the garage in moving boxes and are unsalvageable or completely gone from the fire. Their other belongings that are in the house have taken on smoke damage, soot damage or water damage from the fire fighter hoses. They were not able to take much with them.
Jon and Rachel have two young girls, Rylee (age 3) and Reagan (age 1.5). Most of their belongings were not able to make it out of the house and are going to be away from them while they are being cleaned by the restoration company. This money will help buy the girls clothes, shoes, beds, and essentials like diapers and higher cost items that were lost in the fire such as strollers and car seat.
Jon and Rachel also were unable to bring most of their belongings with them as well and will need clothes, shoes, and other essentials for themselves.
They have a long road ahead of them and besides needing money for essentials, they will also need money for upcoming expenses that might not be covered by insurance right away such as lodging, groceries and reoccurring bills they will have to continue paying during this hard and tragic time.
