Hello! My name is Misha Puri. I'm a junior at DePaul University studying Film & Television. This is my 1st short film that I will be directing, co-producing and have written.

I'm so excited to share with you my upcoming student short film, "The Girl in the White Kurti." The film is about Madhuri who is confronted by the ghost like version of her younger self. Young Madhuri demands an answer to her struggle with self-harm. Madhuri must find a way to explain what self-harm is to a version of herself she has lost.

As someone who has found a new sense of belonging in college, I have found some peace in this story having parts of my own high school experience. Now as I move forward in this new chapter of my life, I would like to say farewell to something that partially honors that time in my life.
