This is something I have been avoiding but now I have no choice left. We need help.  I have tried everything to avoid this, but today we received news that is the straw that broke our backs. If you have a moment, please indulge me...
 
I have been physically unable to work for almost two years. I am virtually bedridden. Amanda has been pulling the cart for all of us. We've been able to eke by on a wing and a prayer for two years.
 
Today we got the news that we have been dreading. Her mom has been in the hospital but today the doctors decided that she needs to go into hospice care and she is expected to pass within a few months. Needless to say, Amanda is devastated. She's only  been able to see her folks once in seven years and that was during our last hurricane disaster and only with other's help. She wants to see her mom once before she loses her. My kids do too.
 
Because Amanda is my only caregiver, she cannot leave and fly to Tennessee to see her mom as easily as many can. Not to mention we'll all need to go soon to lay her mom to rest. There is simply no way we can afford for her to miss work (she's hourly) much less the expenses to make this happen without some assistance. Our only option is reaching out.
 
I would rather do anything on this planet than ask for help without doing everything in my power to take care of my family. But, right now that is not possible. We have to pay to drive, carry or rent disability needs (a bed for my condition, personal handicapped equipment, etc.) two seperate hotel stays for a few nights each, missed work, etc. and after figuring out everything, we fall short by a great deal.
 
If you can help, please consider it. If not, please don't feel bad. I couldn't help even though I would love to be able.
