Bill Narkiewicz has lived on Martha’s Vineyard for more than 25 years as a single father, working hard at multiple jobs in addition to his full-time job at MVYRadio. As any hard working Islander can tell you, it is difficult to make ends meet on any given normal day. But these are anything but normal days for Bill.
Recently, Bill has suffered multiple blows to his already tenuous financial situation from personal loss, loss of wages from losing additional jobs he had and a series of medical expenses that continue to mount.
As a private person, it is with trepidation he reveals this and acknowledges he must reach out for help to stabilize his footing. This is his home and it is impossible to conceive of leaving a place where your son lives, where you know everyone and worked so hard to be and feel a part of a community. Also, with his medical issues becoming more and more serious, he needs to stay close to the Drs. who are treating him and guiding his progress.
Up to this point, Bill has struggled to barely stay one step ahead of the threat of having to leave the Island… a threat that is imminent now and he needs our help!
Our GOAL is to raise $9,900 to help him cover housing and medical expenses which continue to build.
