The Gavin Gill Scholarship Foundation
It brings us much sadness to have lost someone as special and unique as Gavin Gill. We thought it only appropriate to start a scholarship fund in Gavin’s name for the city of Rocky River. Gavin was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. In 2013, Gavin was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This never hindered his hard work and dedication to being the best student athlete, as he went on to play rugby throughout his high school and college years. Gavin was especially passionate when it came to the children at Camp Christopher, where he was a devoted counselor. His energy and love was felt by all who met him. Gavin was a deserving recipient of a scholarship in 2017 from Rocky River High School, where he upheld it at The Ohio State University. Gavin graduated in May of 2021 and was looking forward to starting his next chapter in Chicago. Gavin had so much more to give to this world. His selflessness and legacy should pass on to others that are just as caring as he was. To honor him and keep his memory alive, we are starting The Gavin Gill Scholarship Foundation. Our hope is for this scholarship to provide an opportunity just like his. Gavin never hesitated to be there for others, and we are certain that even in death this will forever carry on. All donations are appreciated.
