The Gary Sanders Medical Expense Fund

As you all have probably heard, my friend Gary has been seriously ill since the end of last year.
He was in the I.C.U. for over 30 days and he was in a medical induced coma for 1/2 that time. He finally made it home a few days ago, but unfortunately, he has landed back in the hospital to undergo additional surgeries.
Laura and the boys have been there for Gary as much as possible, but with Covid, for much of the time they were unable to even see him. As you can imagine, adding to all the stress, has been the accumulation all the of the medical bills. Although some of the medical expenses will be covered by insurance, it's unknown what the amount of personal responsibility Gary and Laura will have that insurance will not cover.
Besides her daily job of teaching her kids, Laura has been trying her best to take care of Gary, herself and the boys. The additional stress has been even worse not just due to the unknown hospital bills, but also the ongoing medical expenses once Gary is successfully on the road to recovery at home.
I have offered to assist Laura and Gary in addressing this issue.
I have known Gary for over 46 years and I have rarely met anyone so genuine and caring. Gary would absolutely and unquestionable do anything for me, and has in the past always been there for me during the good times and bad. He's traveled to Southern California for my big events, such as my 50th birthday party and wedding, and also just to come help out with computer issues when my family moved to a new home.
Laura has mentioned to me that their friends have offered their help with bringing over meals and anything else that they can do.
I feel that the most anyone can do right now is to relieve the stress and burden of the forthcoming avalanche of medical bills.
Because of this, I have setup this gofundme for Gary, Laura and the boys.
I have set the goal high, because I just can't imagine what all of these medical bills will add up to.
