The Garrand Family Disaster Fund

My daughter Sara, her husband Andrew, their 3 children and father were all displaced by a fire that destroyed their home in Red Oaks Mill on March 31. Thankfully they all escaped with their lives thanks to working smoke detectors. Almost everything they own has been burned or lost to water, smoke and soot damage. Their house will need to be completely rebuilt, refurnished and filled with things they love as well as the basics they need. My son in law is a US Navy Sailor on the USS Winston Churchill and is home on emergency leave for a short time to assist his family then will be deploying overseas for about 8 months. Right now they have clothing needs, food needs and could use all the help they can get. We are trying to make arrangements for a storage space for donations and furnishings as they come. We will update this page once storage becomes available. My poor grandchildren have lost all of their toys, books and clothing. Also they are looking to rent a house in the Arlington district until their home can be rebuilt. Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and kind hearts!
