Hello friends & family of Sunny Bear Smith, I’m Martha (Sunny’s aunt) and I’ve made this GoFundMe because our beloved boxer Sugar Head needs a hip replacement ASAP.

If you have ever met Sunny, you know she is the sweetest, wiggliest, goofiest boxer ever. She is becoming an old lady and India recently found out that Sunny has some congenital disorders that are affecting her spine and hip. She was diagnosed with Congenital Lumbar Disease and Degenerative Joint Disease. However, a full hip replacement of her left hip is projected to allow her to make a full and fruitful recovery.

This has come on unexpectedly and suddenly at a very high cost to India (Sunny’s mom) and we’d be so forever grateful for any donations towards Sunny’s operation and recovery.

Sunny’s operation is scheduled in Sun Valley, ID on August 4, 2025. We will be sure to update this page and keep everyone in the loop on what’s going on with our little Sugar Monster Smith!

The entire operation is quoted at just above $10,000 which includes all her x rays, medication, follow up appointments and the surgery itself.
