"The Games We Play" - The New Travis Bowman Album!

Hey everyone, Travis Bowman here!

I'm raising funds to complete my new album "The Games We Play", which is a 15-track solo acoustic guitar record. This is a "double album" if you will, containing original compositions and my arrangements of some of my favorite video game tunes! There are some old favorites revisited in a new way, but there are also brand new tracks that have never been recorded before!

This album was recorded with award winning fingerstyle guitarist/harp guitarist Matt Thomas as producer, and he'll join me on a few of the tracks! Very exciting!

This is a love letter to fingerstyle guitar greats such as Michael Hedges, Leo Kottke, Andy McKee, and Antoine Dufour, as well as some of my favorite composers of video game music such as Nobuo Uematsu, Yuzo Koshiro, C418, and Junichi Masuda, and many others!

What is this GoFundMe for, exactly?

The recording process is done, but the album is far from finished. I need help raising funds to go towards mixing and mastering. Only then can the album be released both digitally and physically.

Do I have to be a video game nerd to enjoy this album?

Absolutely not. This album was recorded entirely with acoustic instruments, and you don't have to know the video games to enjoy the music. Fingerstyle guitar is pretty cool like that.

If I donate to this GoFundMe, when will I expect my stuff in the mail?

We are aiming for an early spring 2025 release, but it all depends on how long it takes for mixing/mastering and printing of the discs and artwork. I'll be sure to keep in touch with all of you as this progresses!

I greatly appreciate any donations for this new record. It's my first one since 2016, and I've put a lot of love and effort into it, and I'm super proud of it. I can't wait for you guys to hear it!
