On Saturday, September 6, Jonelle and Rob of Pompton Lakes lost everything to a house fire.

Jonelle and her son stopped home to get his football equipment for his scrimmage. When they arrived home, that’s when they saw the smoke and fire coming from their master bathroom.

They ran inside to get the dogs. Jonelle tried going into her bedroom to get the fire extinguisher, but the pressure from the smoke and fire threw her back, causing her to close the door, containing some of the fire long enough for them to safely escape. They’re currently staying at a hotel, salvaging what they can . Their dream house is completely destroyed .
