On March 9th, Gabrielle was admitted into the ER for severe stomach pains thinking it could be just a slight easy fix. She soon found out that there was a growing tumor on her liver for what looked like many years in the making. The tumor has taken over her liver and abdominal area reducing space for the rest of her neighboring organs and pushing them all to the left side of her body. The Liver Cancer has Created many health problems and side effects for her daily routine, but she still has a love of life, and that twinkle in her eye.
March 11th was "D" Day for her biopsy to determine what type of cancer she had. After the surgery she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Which is commonly diagnosed for adult cancer patients but rarely ever seen in teens or 20 year olds. March 14th she underwent her second surgery to implant a Port Catheter. This was inserted to allow for all treatments, bloodwork, and future injections to be easily inserted into her blood stream instead of many pricks and inserts in her arm's. Gabrielle received her first dose of treatment on March 17th. She is recovering but has a long road ahead of her. Gabrielle and her family have already incurred many expenses from these very few procedures administered with many more to go. With a little bit of help, Gabrielle and her family can reduce these expenses to help focus on her recovery. Gabrielle is the type of person that will not let anything come in her way from finding success and full recovery. Money expenses should not be the thing that stands in her way!
