The future Dr. Savannah Mullen
Donation protected
My name is Carmen Butcher. Savannah Mullen is my smart, beautiful, loving and determined niece. Her brother, SirCharles Marc-Anthony was murdered, while he was working for a security company at the Marriot in downtown Portland, OR. They loved & supported each other through very challenging times and were definitely a force to be reckoned with!
Savannah is 18, just days from graduating. In lieu of flowers or other acts of financial kindness, we asked that people please hold their funds to to support the future Dr. Savannah Mullen by donating to this fundraiser. She was accepted to a plethora of prestigious colleges (her choice has not been announced yet!) and was slated to leave at the end of July, 2022. As you can imagine, the senseless murder of her brother has significantly impacted her and placed a question mark on whether or not she will be able to meet her goals. Her mother is still deeply grieving the loss of her only son; this has obviously impacted her ability to work. Sir was a generous soul with a plan to help support and contribute to the ever-increasing college expenses Savannah is facing. We, the family, are all doing our best but we cannot do it alone.
Savannah is definitely going to school out-of-state and will need all of the customary supplies every college student needs for the next few years: Air fare, computer, printer, scanner, books, housing, transportation, food, etc. and so forth. The expenses are enormous but we believe in her. She has the intelligence, commitment, passion, and determination to be the best doctor you'll be able to find!
Please give what you can. She is an amazingly resilient and smart young woman who deserves to meet her goals and fulfill the dreams her brother wanted for her and the dreams she wants for herself. In his memory, please remember that she, too, has an even greater desire to be the best Black female MD around. Watch...you'll see.
