The Full Circle is a surreal short film about two strangers who meet each night in shared lucid dreams. Within these vivid dreams, they form an unexpected connection through conversations about life, identity, and the strange uncertainty of getting older. She is quietly losing herself. He has stopped creating. In the dreams, they find their way back to themselves. When they finally encounter each other in the real world briefly, unexpectedly, at a crosswalk, they recognize each other without a word. And in that quiet moment of recognition, something completes itself. Not a beginning. Not an ending.
Blending magical realism with grounded, intimate storytelling, The Full Circle explores what it means to carry someone with you after they're gone, and the quiet understanding that some connections are not meant to last forever, but nothing that shapes you ever really leaves.
Visually, the film moves between surreal dreamscapes filled with color, texture, and circular motifs and the stillness of everyday life. That contrast mirrors the emotional journey of both characters as they learn that not every meaningful connection is meant to become a lasting relationship. At its heart, The Full Circle is a story about the versions of ourselves we think we've lost and the quiet understanding that some moments shape us precisely because they do not last.
Storytelling and expression have been important to me for a long time, and I would be so grateful for the opportunity to create something meaningful with your support. Every contribution will help bring this vision to life, covering art department and props, costumes, food and catering for the cast and crew, and festival submission fees. Thank you so much for your help and consideration.
