Hello everyone!
My name is Liesa & I'm embarking on a personal challenge for a cause very close to my heart.
I will be attempting to climb Catbells, one of the stunning Wainwright walks in the Lake District and felt it was a great opportunity to raise funds for The Friesian Experience Sanctuary at the same time.
This climb is not only a physical goal but also a challenge as I’m not good with heights and often doubt my own abilities!
I’d like to do this to help the Sanctuary get closer to their own GoFundMe target of £110k by the end of this year.
These funds will go towards improving facilities at Greenbank Farm in the Southern Lake District, which is home to the Friesian horses.
The Friesian Experience Sanctuary is a place of refuge and healing for Friesian horses in need, providing them with love, care, and a second chance at life.
Every step I take on this hike will be dedicated to raising the funds necessary to maintain and improve the sanctuary, ensuring these wonderful animals continue to thrive & have the best of homes to live in.
Your support, whether big or small, will directly impact the lives of these horses and those who care for them.
I’ve been fortunate to spend a lot of time at the farm with the horses and team. Having spent the last few weeks making regular trips to the fields to bring horses up the hill to the farm I’m hoping it’s been good preparation for what lies ahead.
As I challenge myself on Catbells’ steep ascent, (somewhat steeper than the hill to the farm) to know I have your encouragement behind me will be my biggest motivation along with a helpful push or two from Ann who’s given me the motivation to do this.
Please consider donating to this campaign, sharing it with others, and joining me on this journey to make a real difference.
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and support.
With thanks
Liesa.
