We are SO CLOSE to reaching our goal. Thank you all so much for your support. We are eager to transition from preparation to celebration and have on the books THREE Front Range shows to usher in the release of this album on all digital platforms:

Following this rager of a party (Tix Here) with our friends The Reckless Folk and High Country Hustle in Denver on 9/30, we will head up to Boulder to play The Velvet Elk Lounge on Thursday, October 5th, and Avogadro's Number in Fort Collins on Friday, October 6th!
The final round of our "Picks of Gratitude" will be sent out in the coming weeks. THANK YOU for bringing this dream to life. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!!
- UPDATE - 7/31/23
This last weekend, with another band contest WIN at the 51st Annual Rockygrass Festival, we entered our names into rare company as only the 2nd band ever to win both Telluride and Rockygrass band competitions in one year.
As of this writing, we are 2/3 to our goal, and we are so grateful for the persistent support that keeps coming in from our donors. We are in the mixing phase of the record, and will be announcing the release date very soon! Thank you all for believing in what we do. We are privileged to get to do it.

We are honored to report that we've been nominated for the Momentum: Band of the Year award by the International Bluegrass Music Association! Your support and this special recognition keep us motivated and driven to keep creating and presenting original music that we can be proud of. This album is at the center of that goal, and your continued support is making it all possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you everyone so much for your donations to our getting a high-quality representation of our original music accessible to those that want to hear it! This last weekend has been one of the most incredible of our lives. We have spent months, alongside working on our songs for this album, preparing for the band contest at the 50th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival. We are elated to report that we took home the top prize, and will be back on the main stage of TBF 51 next year!

We want to start sending out our "picks of gratitude" for our donors that have given $100 or more. If that is you, please visit thefretliners.com and send us your address in the GET IN TOUCH section at the bottom of the home page!! Thank you, again, from the bottom of our hearts.

Friends, Fans, and Family, The Fretliners are actively working on our debut album and we need your help! Being a young outfit without a lot of capital, and with streaming being the main source of today's music consumption, the costs of production, studio hours, mixing/mastering, printing, and promotion are more than we can bear alone. We humbly ask for your hand in helping us to get our original music in the ears of the people. This album will be ALL original, written by members of the band and family. Your support means we can release into the world a representation of our sound that we are truly proud of. As a token of our appreciation, please find us at a show near you and we will give you a custom-made pick with our logo on one side, and on the other, "I Helped Fund The Fretliners Debut Album". For donations of $100 or more, we will ship a pick anywhere in the U.S.
Thank you all for your support!
- Sam, Dan, Tom, and Taylor

The Fretliners are a powerhouse progressive bluegrass quartet born around a single microphone in a barn in the Rocky Mountains. Influenced by a multitude of genres and steeped in that High Lonesome sound — they machete through the bluegrass and newgrass jungle leaving new pathways and possibilities in their wake.
Consisting of Tom Knowlton on guitar, Taylor Shuck on upright bass, Dan Andree on fiddle, and Sam Parks on mandolin — these prolific pickers and singers have fluent musical conversations that invite their audience into the dialogue. Expect hard-driving energy, exhilarating solos, soaring vocals, and captivating lyrical stories. Buckle up, because a Fretliners show is sure to take you for a ride you won’t soon forget!
