The Fredy family suffered every family's nightmare last Wednesday (October 25th), their son Cole and daughter Siena were involved in a serious car accident. Siena was able to walk away, but Cole suffered extensive and major injuries. He is currently in the Trauma ICU. Cole will require expensive and intensive rehab to address his injuries.
Cole is a junior at Colfax where he plays soccer and is in the engineering arts program. All he wants is to return to school and get back to normal. On behalf of this amazing family, we are humbly asking for help with medical bills and family expenses while he recovers.
Donations will be received by Aimee Fredy (our close friend) directly to help offset the cost of medical co-pays, therapies, and living expenses while Cole heals. In addition to the many fractures in his torso and back, it is anticipated that Cole will need neurological rehab for 1-2 weeks once he is discharged from the hospital.
The cost for neurological rehab is approximately $6,000 a day and at this time they’re unsure how much insurance will cover that important therapy.
We hope our amazing community can rally and support the Fredy’s. If you are able to help financially, thank you so much! They would also appreciate prayers or healing energy sent Cole's way!
Thank you so much!
**Note: You have the ability when you donate to choose the amount you also donate to the Go Fund Me platform. Look below your donation amount, if you want to make changes!
**Update: The healing news, Cole is still in the Trauma ICU as of today, Halloween. His right lung chest tube has been removed! However, his left lung doesn't want to seal, so the medical team is going to try antibiotics. His brain injury is going to take a lot of time and neuro-rehab to improve. The positive news, he was able to take a walk with a walker, he got to see his sister, and with each passing day, the family sees more and more of Cole's old self! How you can help: 1) If you can donate, thank you!, 2) Send a video or card to Cole as it raises his spirits and encourages his soul! and 3) a meal train has been set up at Fredy Meal Train. Thank you to everyone who has donated, sent prayers and healing thoughts, and for all the kind gestures and support!
