Calling all Angels ~  Help Fund the Frederick Family!

The Unexpected Fall: The Frederick family are a vital thread in our community and are most recently known for their restaurant in Keller, “The Angry Leprechaun.” Their restaurant was  a local favorite and the “go to” every Friday night. And yet despite its popularity and amazing reviews, the beloved owners, Patrick & Erica Frederick, were forced to close its doors last year and move toward a different direction to support their family.

Then on Monday, 12/3/18, the Unexpected Fall occurred.  Patrick was working the late shift when he tragically fell down a flight of stairs and lost consciousness. The following hours were filled with prayers, tears and uncertainty. Patrick suffered multiple skull fractures and is presently recovering from a severe traumatic brain injury in the hospital.

At the Hospital: Patrick’s wife Erica and their two children, Jacob and Kaia remain vigilant and prayerful that Patrick will recover. Although, they’re not anywhere near “out of the woods”, they remain faithful that they will see this through and that Patrick’s contagious smile and strong loving presence will return to their family.

Current Situation & Beyond: With the closure of their restaurant, Patrick and Erica were simply like so many of us, just trying to get back on track financially. They worked honestly and diligently toward that ever so elusive American dream and really just tried to provide for their sweet children and their family. Now with this unforeseen growing mountain of medical expenses, therapy, continued tests, twenty-four hour care, etc., Life has once again placed in front of them an unprecedented financial hardship and strain that has left our  Keller family vulnerable and in the greatest need of their lives.

Who Are they in the Keller Community:  The Frederick family are a pillar of fortitude in our community. They can be seen everywhere in Keller with their athletic and academically involved children.  Jacob, fourteen is in 8th grade and his younger sister Kaia is ten and in the fifth grade. They both attend  Indian Springs Middle School and are elementary alums of Shady Grove Elementary School in Keller. During their restaurant tenure, Patrick & Erica humbly and graciously donated dinner meals consistently to the coach staff at ISMS, pre game meals for the players, ISMS PTA, Shady Grove teachers, and so many other groups. They were the continued sponsors of 3x3 basketball tournaments and of other local events in their church and community. “Keep it in Keller” is a motto they believed in and outwardly supported frequently. The humbleness in which they gave, so generously, so genuinely, is an act of kindness that has still not been forgotten.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me" Matthew 25:35
