The Fouse house needs your help

On behalf of the Fouse Family, I am reaching out to you after my family lost our home in the devastating Eaton Fire on January 8th, 2025. The house, built in 1956, was purchased in 1973 by my grandmother, Evelyn Fouse, and her late husband, Gene Fouse Sr. It has been our family home for 52 years, a place where we made memories, faced challenges, and grew together. My father was only 7 years old when they moved into this house. Over the years, my grandparents endured and survived the fires of 1979 and 1993, as well as the Great Flood of 1980.

Sadly, this fire has taken everything, leaving us with nothing but memories, and although memories last a lifetime time. My grandparents put blood, sweat and tears into creating a warm and loving home for their son and generations to come.

We are heartbroken not only to lose a home that holds so much in our hearts, but more so to watch the resilience of an 83 year old widow who has to now deal with the trauma of all that she has worked for. We remain hopeful that with your support, we can help her feel the love and support of the community she cares so much for. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. We are so thankful that you all have taken the time to even read “Grandma Es” story.

Much Love, The Barrow/Fouse Families
