The Fosstveit's - #Kelsey Strong
Donation protected
As many of you know, on March 2, 2020, Kelsey Fosstveit, a 23 year old RN just starting her career as a nurse dedicated to saving lives, survived a terrible car accident. She was a fighter then and continues to battle through her injuries nine months later.
Unfortunately, her road to recovery has been challenging, with many obstacles and setbacks. Today, December 18, 2020, Kelsey has to go through another vascular surgery to repair the stint and remove a clot that has prevented proper blood flow to her foot, which never healed properly as a result. Once the blood flow is repaired, Kelsey will need surgery on her foot, either an achilles lengthening and tendon transfer to salvage the foot, or amputation. With both options, Kelsey will need special fittings for her foot to help her walk again and live out her dream to help others.
These are the major surgeries she faces, and she does so with unfailing courage and hope. The family has rallied around Kelsey, focused on her recovery and healing, but the expenses are overwhelming. Your donations will help cover the uncovered expenses: transportation, lodging, rehabilitation. Your donations most importantly can help give Kelsey the best possible outcome of orthotic and prosthetic solutions to give her optimal mobility. The financial burden should not be their focus. Kelsey's recovery should be.
Our community came together when news of her accident spread. So many reached out then to help. Many of us didn't know what else we could do. We were there then and we can be there again for a family who means so much to all of us. They need us: our prayers, our friendship, our love and our support.
Your donation will help the Fosstveit family keep the focus on Kelsey and help her on her journey toward recovery, independence and quality of life. Kelsey's dream was to help others. Let's help her achieve it! Thank you so much.
