The Flynny Flood (Hurricane Ida Recovery Effort)
Y'all...our favorite, selfless girl, Erin Flynn, needs a little love. We all know how bad Ida hit the NYC area Wednesday night and unfortunately, Flynny was one of the hardest hit amongst us. We do not bless these rains. Shortly after getting home from work, she was faced with a flash flood in her apartment that brought in almost 7 ft of water ruining just about everything she owns. Not surprising, even though her floor was wet when she got there, she ran over to help her neighbor who had already been flooded out instead of worrying about her own belongings. By the time she got back into her own apartment, it became a matter of life and death pretty quickly...within seconds, she and Bob were literally trapped inside and escaped through a window.
So now, we're asking that everyone show a little love to the limitless ball of love that we're all lucky to call our friend/family. Look at it like a Baby Shower but a little tragic and no kids....it's The Flynny Flood!
But for real...our girl's place got really f*cked up. Check out the video below if you don't want to take my finely crafted words for it. :)
Anything you can spare to help her get back to normal is greatly appreciated! That photo was taken of her while we were literally taking an ax and sledgehammer to her apartment trying to salvage anything we could. Who can say no to that face!?! If you do, may God have mercy on your empty soul. :)
Thanks for looking out for your home girl. Be Kind, Please Rewind.
Thanks, gang! Drinks on Flynn! JKJKJKJKJK
Checking off GFM hurricane parameters here for GFM so you know I'm not shady and using your money for a vacay for me and Jonny.
1. Who I am: Heather Breen (many nicknames apply)
2. Where you're from: New York City (Jon prefers Pinehurst)
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for: I'm her idiot friend with a shared love for Toto's Africa
4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible), and who is responsible for withdrawing and using the funds: Getting our Flynny back on her feet replacing all personal effects that can't be recovered. She's handling this a lot better than I would, btw.
