At The First Run Foundation, we believe that no kid should ever be turned away simply because they cannot afford to pay. In order to fill this void The First Run Foundation was established for the charitable purpose of providing children of ALL Ages, Gender, Race, Creed, and Economic Background access to FREE Baseball Camp Instruction and Education.
We aspire through the power of sport, to provide a “Practice Field” for life. Kids will learn to develop and hone critical life skills such as teamwork, leadership, self-confidence, discipline, and coping skills to handle and persevere through adversity not just in sports, but the game of life.
These camps are designed for kids of all skill levels from beginners with little to no experience with the sport, intermediate, and experienced. Thanks to generous donations, each child is not required to bring or have any equipment of their own. Equipment will be provided if needed. In addition, each camper will receive a Free Camp T-shirt and opportunity to win other Prizes/Equipment.
Built upon Proverbs 31:8-9. “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.” We aim to provide a voice for those who may feel voiceless and supply them the soil and foundation for which growth may take place below the surface.
In doing so, we dream that one day our children and their children’s children can live in a world full of life’s greatest gift of all-love. A world where peace, unity, and diversity are celebrated and universally accepted, a place we could all be proud to call home.
If Financially able we encourage you to help contribute any monetary value to help us have the ability to continue to acquire more equipment and supplies at a cheaper cost. The First Run Foundation’s Camps are and always will be FREE for ALL to attend. Your donation will go a long way in helping many of these children who do not have any equipment of their own. We aim to not only provide each child with a Camp T-Shirt and Hat but with a Baseball Glove and a Ball to take home and call their own.
