My name is Katya- and this is Almendra, my brave little adventure cat. I rescued her when she was just 5 days old, and she has been by my side ever since: traveling in my van, riding motorcycles, exploring beaches and mountains…

Now, we are about to take on our biggest journey yet: the Camino del Norte, a 300+ mile pilgrimage along the northern coast of Spain. Together, we’ll prove that cats can be just as adventurous and loyal as dogs, and share our journey in a documentary-style YouTube series.

Traveling with a cat is beautiful, but not easy. Flights are expensive (with pet fees and international paperwork). Many hostels, hotels, and Airbnbs don’t accept cats, which makes budget travel difficult. I’ll need extra supplies to keep her safe and comfortable along the trail. Filming and logistics add another layer of challenge to make sure this story gets shared with the world.
