THE FINCH NEEDS YOUR HELP
When we opened the Finch 5 years ago, our mission was to make a space for great things to occur. We put the tools together and welcomed people to experience being with us in the best ways we knew how at 212 Greene Ave . And we rolled with it. That improvisation, embracing people openly, giving generously of ourselves is what we most love to do, and it's the best way we know how to take care of one another.
Hospitality can never be from a script. It comes from openness, from compassion, from sympathy. It's what comes in being present with one another, truly be with someone and sharing an experience. Our staff makes this a reality for each other and for our guests. It is a craft and a meditation and a privilege to be a part of. The Finch is a safe and special place for us all to be present in, and to help one another celebrate life in a deep and meaningful way. It is so tough for all of us who practice hospitality right now because we can’t help our people in the way we know how.
So we’re coming to you. We need your help to take care of our people.
100% of everything you give will go to the staff. We plan to supplement income on Unemployment, help to cover Insurance at this critical time, help them rest and stay healthy, and let them know that we're here for them. They are the only way we could hope to open again with the same spirit that makes The Finch special, and it would mean everything to all of us to have your support.
