To be honest, when my separation began, I never thought it would be drawn out for this long or require so much. So much time, money, and work—not to mention the emotional toll it’s taken on my kids and myself.
If you know me at all, you know that asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me, especially in this form. However, we are (finally) in what seems to be the final stretch of the divorce process. Unfortunately, this entails going to trial to determine what the final orders will be for custody.
In order for this to actually happen, I have to not only replenish the retainer for my lawyer, but I also have to pay what is remaining on my guardian ad litem bill, and continue to pay her through the trial process. As you can imagine, this is no easy feat while maintaining a number of jobs in order to provide for my children, and quite frankly, barely making ends meet—especially receiving $0 in child support while having sole custody.
Any—and I mean *any* help is appreciated.
I need this process to be done so that my kids and I can finally have some peace and consistency. They deserve it.
Thank you for taking the time to read, and thank you a million times over for anything you’re able to give. It means the world to us.
