La comunidad paraguaya de Nueva York está tratando de recaudar dinero para nuestro querido Gran Arpista y amigo Silvio Solís, alias Gran Maestro, quien ha recibido una autorización para encontrarse con su creador. Para aquellos que no saben de Silivo Solis, su historia es increíble. El país natal de Silvio es Paraguay donde se enamoró del arpa. Nuestro querido Silvio fue diagnosticado con cáncer de próstata que ha hecho metástasis en sus huesos, riñones y ahora en su cerebro. Recientemente Silvio ingresó en el hospital y aquí es donde recibimos la horrible noticia de nuestro Gran Maestro. No le queda mucho tiempo. Silvio tiene decaimiento mental, confusión, desorientación, incapacidad para hablar, incapacidad para reconocer cosas comunes y no puede tocar su preciada arpa.

The Paraguayan community from New York is trying to fundraise money for our dear Grand Harpits and friend Silvio Solis aka Grand Maestro, who has received a warrant to meet his creator. If you hear a harp most likely Silvio is the one playing. When he plays it seems his fingers never touch the cords and magically beautiful music seep through the sound box.

For those who do not of Silivo Solis, his story is an amazing one. Silvio's native country is Paraguay where he fell in love with the harp. He has been playing professionally since he was 15; bringing joy to all those who hear him play, recording many CDs, he has been building his own instruments for more than 20+ years, and is an excellent teacher for those who want to learn to play this mystical instrument.

Our beloved Silvio was diagnosed with prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bone, kidney, and now his brain. Just recently Silvio was admitted to the hospital and this is where we received our Grand Maestro's horrible news. He was given a few days to weeks to live. Silvio has a mentality decline, confusion, disorientation, inability to speak, inability to recognize common things, and cannot play his cherished harp.
