The fight to beat my mothers cancer

It is without a doubt how beautiful life can be on several levels while on the opposite side of the spectrum how beautiful things can take an unfortunate turn. Honesty, love, loyalty, humility, and the the pursuit of happiness while helping to aid others where possible; often allow us to operate on a more human level despite what we do daily to keep up with social media, social norms, and the day in day out "priorities" of life.
What are "priorities"? I've asked myself this over and over as mine changed the past few months. -School, work, that Hollywood event, dinner under the stars, the beach- not mine anymore. I've never let life confront me as hard as it did when I realized I; stand beside my mother on the battlefield against cancer. Not once has it ever crossed my mind that the only thing I have holding me together could potentially be taken by this crippling and devastating disease that continue to haunt the best of all of us.
Though I pray and attempt to fill my heart with hope and positivity, the mere fact of my mother's diagnosis ail my life, her ONLY soldier; keeping me from being able to focus on what most of us can call priorities. While I am still capable, I am honored to be able to set aside my priorities and make fighting alongside my mother against cancer, my main focus, my goal, and at this time; my only priority.
While trekking through this absolute rugged terrain, I will give myself the opportunity and pleasure to infuse my mother with love, hope, the last bits of my strength; I ask that you accept my apologies in advance for not giving up, but asking for your continuing support as a student, a participant in that Hollywood event, and mostly a friend. You all have touched my life in a great way and inspired me to be the best, please allow me the support to my best at work; this time around, for my beloved mother.
