In Loving Memory of Charles Michael McKeon “Pisces”
Chuck was a man of many talents, with an incomparable sense of humor, and a larger-than-life personality. He passed away on October 31, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father Charles “Big Chuck” McKeon. He is survived by his mother Maxine McKeon, his sisters Glenda, Paula, and Kelly, his children Megan, Matthew, Erin, Sophia, and his beloved nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Riverside, MO, Chuck attended St. Pius X before continuing his undergraduate studies at Rockhurst University and continuing on to University of Missouri-Kansas City for law school. He began his legal career at the prosecutor’s office in Jackson County before moving into private practice, where he remained for over 35 years. Chuck also had a second career as a “professional gambler” and could often be found playing video poker and sports wagering at casinos around the city.
Rugby was the great passion of Chuck’s life. He played and coached rugby with the Kansas City Blues and Jr. Blues for the entirety of his adult life. It was unequivocally his favorite way to spend time and where he had his life’s most cherished moments. Rugby afforded him the opportunity to travel and make life-long friendships all over the world.
Whether he’d known you for forty years or forty minutes, Chuck was guaranteed to make every moment spent with him unforgettable. He was a notorious prankster and one of the funniest individuals you could ever meet. He was always, without a doubt, the life of the party. Chuck’s Celebration of life will take place on Sunday November 5, 2023 at The Brooksider from 6pm - 9pm.
