The fight has started again, and harder then ever.

Hi everyone, I’m reluctantly writing on here again. Because unfortunately the cancer has come back, and back with a vengeance. On the 13th of October I rushed my butt to the emergency room because I was having the most intense stomachpains. I’m of course hoping to the high heavens that it’s gas. After a couple of scans at St Luke’s in Bartonsville, they found it necessary to have me transferred over to the Bethlehem campus.

After spending the whole night a couple of more scans, we found out that there were 2 cancerous masses in my stomach, and the one mass was a lot bigger. So big that it perforated my small bowel. After talking to my cancer team the only way to treat this was by surgery, that was set for the 10th of January. Unfortunately with things like this, time is not on your side.

Just this past Sunday December the 15th I woke up again in horrible pain. So that night I decided to drive myself back to the Bethlehem ER. After a couple of scans and my surgical team coming in on there night off. We were doing surgery the next morning. After prep and everything, I believe that I went into surgery a little after 2:00, and didn’t wake up till 6:30-7:00. They had removed both tumors and also shortened my bowel because it had a huge hole in it. The one mass weighed about 5-6 lbs I found out today. After 7 days I’m finally home. I’ll be starting the 4 hour sessions of immunotherapy next week to see if we can get the rest.

And unfortunately I come to all of you for help once again. And it is with an unbelievably heavy heart. Amanda has been holding the fort down with all the bills while dealing with the stress of all of this. My disability pays next to nothing, 36 year olds don’t usually go on permanent disability so that’s why the payments are unlivable. To say that she hasn’t been an absolute rockstar is an understatement. Every appointment big or small, she’s been holding my hand everytime. She has traveled every road with me and she’s doing it with such grace. And I’m traveling every avenue to see if there’s anyway I can take some weight off of her shoulders.

The kids are amazing, healthy and just so damn resilient . But they are really scared this time. I believe probably because they are a little older and understand the severity of it all. Having to thank Amanda again for her innate ability to be so good with the kids. Being on top of Weston with his grades and etc and how she always wants to keep Ruby busy! Weather it’s with crafts activities or something else silly.

Any help that you can provide would be absolutely amazing, and please if you can’t, I completely understand, times are not easy for anyone out there. But if you can please share it with everyone that would be awesome. I love you all and please remember that everyday is a blessing.
