The Fight For Nick's Life
Dear Family, Friends, and Community,
Hi My Name is Michelle many know of me as Bestie of Dani and Nick calls me "that teasing, funny, annoying sister" he always wanted. I'm here today asking you to Stand with us and support the Osenbaughs as they battle for life. Many of you know the prayer warrior, the loving family they are and the strong faith they stand upon. They serve God and their community with all their hearts. Nick serves as Custodial Deputy for The Mariposa County Sherrif Office, while Dani serves as prevention specialist at Mariposa Safe Families. Every opportunity they have to serve the community of Mariposa, they do.
On February 21st, 2023 as I sat in the Oncology Department waiting by their side to hear the results of the scans performed. Nick and Dani were hit with the news no one wants to hear..." You have stage 4 Colon Cancer". Just like that, you went from being a Deputy to your life turned upside down and watching your wife's heartbreak and thinking how do I tell my children? Jacob (age 23), Morgan (age 11) and Mason (age 9) are their world, it's one thing to tell your children you are sick, it's another for them to watch you fight for your life through 5 weeks of intense 24/7 chemo and radiation 5 days a week of that duration. This is just the beginning of this battle! If we can make it through this we are facing more chemotherapy and surgeries to follow.
How does one fight for their life in their weakest moment, tell their children it will be ok while wondering how to pay for insurance to keep fighting and keep the lights on? This is how... We All Stand with The Osenbaugh family and provide them with a sense of security, peace of mind, and knowing they are not alone in this battle by placing a DONATION.
The money will be used to cover rent, gas to and from the 2hr trip for daily treatment over the next 5 weeks, and most importantly HEALTH INSURANCE. He was recently notified that to keep his benefits while not working they must pay over $2000 a month. The Oncologist was very clear that he will be unable to return to work for at least 1 full year if not longer. We are asking you to pull together as a village and bless them with their needs.
Nick is a fighter and won't give up, so let's not give up on him either. It's our turn to give back to this amazing family with all that they give daily! Please HELP ME BLESS THEM BY REACHING their goal so they can be given a fighting chance at overcoming this disease.
