HELP please! I am losing my baby boy... Magnus was born May 17, 2012... he was the piece that completed my family. If there was a poster dog for German shepherds everywhere Magnus would be it.. Perfect doesn't begin to explain him.. But last week our lives changed forever.. Magnus started to become lethargic, an not even wanting to move. The next day we took him to the vet, at first they thought Magnus might have been poisoned, but soon we found out he had leptospirosis. Apparently its extremely rare, it's a bacteria that attacks the system an for Magnus it has put his kidneys in failure.. Magnus has been in the hospital for days, with IV fluids, 3 antibiotics, an 2 hypertension medications, sadly his kidneys arent responding, an today I was given 3 choices.. 1. Send Magnus to a specialty facility in Manhattan that specializes in kidney issues like this an give Magnus a big fighting chance. 2. Take him home, an give him multiple iv injections a day, including his medications an watch him deteriorate. Or 3, the worst one of all, put him to sleep.. I write this last one with tears falling from my face. I cant think about not having him there.. I continue to pray for his miracle.. I would love to give him this fighting chance but sadly it comes at a price, so I call on anyone and everyone please help me.. The cost is 1000 a day with possibilities of dialysis and kidney transplant.. Maggie's medicals Bill's thus far have been through the roof but weve managed up to this point, to go any further I need help... Anything helps, even a share..
