I’m writing for my sister, Amber, with a heavy heart. Three weeks ago, we received the shocking news that Amber, at the age of 34, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. I have created this page to raise funds for Amber's treatment; in hopes that alleviating some of this enormous financial burden will help her be able to focus her attention on what really matters right now—fighting this disease.
To know Amber is to know a heart filled with love and kindness, a pillar of strength and an endless source of positivity and laughter. Amber is a genuine caregiver—24 hours a day. She is a mother of two beautiful girls; one with special needs. This past year, Amber has been on the frontline as a nurse fighting against Covid, and fighting for her patients’ lives. Now it is time for her to fight for her own.
If you know Amber, you know she is one of the most determined women you will ever meet. She has always been a fighter! And while this fight has already begun...there is still a long way to go. Earlier this week Amber received her first of many chemotherapy treatments. This treatment will continue for several months. Because the chemo places her body in a very vulnerable, immune-suppressed state, Amber is not able to work as a nurse, doing what she deeply loves, and her medical expenses are quickly mounting.
With the outstanding Memorial Health team, close family and friends Amber has already begun the fight. This is not where Amber’s story ends… it’s where her story begins!
We hope that you will join us in supporting Amber in any way you can. She needs your prayers! If you are able to help by offsetting some of this financial burden, you will be giving Amber a chance to direct her focus on winning this fight so that she can watch her girls grow-up! No amount is too small. Any donation is truly helpful and deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this message, and for your continued prayers and support for Amber and her family. May God's blessing of peace and health be with you always.
