I adopted Remy from Honor Animal Rescue almost 6 years ago in Sarasota FL. I knew the moment he walked into my arms and allowed me to just embrace and hug him that he was special and just wanted to be loved. I also knew he would be a part of my life from that day forward. For anyone that has met him, he is one of the most sweetest, cuddliest , goofiest, loving creatures on this earth. He loves adventure and just knew he would love the next adventure and that was my move to New York in August. He and Meeka have been thriving here and truly love all the excitement the city brings. Unfortunately his health took a strange turn and On 1/18/20 I rushed him to the vet, they ran quite a lot of tests and I received information the next day that he has high levels of calcium, an enlarged spleen, and his kidneys are not functioning as normal. The vet mentioned I should take him to a specialist and have him scheduled for an ultrasound to pin point exactly what it causing his health to decline and come up with a treatment plan. I already have spent so much and need all the help so that I may be able to give Remy get the treatment and care he deserves. He is only 5 and has so much more of life to enjoy. My heart is breaking and have no where else to turn. Moving to New York was tough but this is proving to be one of the most difficult things to deal with currently. Any amount helps, and Remy and I will forever be grateful. I just want to give him the fighting chance he deserves. Thank you and I will be keeping everyone updated on his progress.
Love,
Melanie
