The fight against acute myloid leukemia.

Hi, my name is Tamio and I am fundraising to help with my fight against acute myloid leukemia. I am married with two young boys and was diagnosed 6 weeks ago. I have completely changed my lifestyle and have lost 14kg in the process. I am excited to try an experimental treatment being used around the world but unfortunately not covered by Medicare. The treatment has shown excellent results in many patients but due to my current circumstances I cannot afford to have it. It runs for 6 weeks and costs $330 a dose twice a week. If successful, I would need two doses weekly for up to a year. I am hoping to raise enough for the first 6 week trial as results will then tell me if it's working and further treatments will be required. I have like many not taken out life or income protection insurance and will fight with everything I have to be here for my family. I have to much to teach them and a life of memories to still be made to go out without doing everything possible to be here for them. I would be very grateful for every dollar given and am hoping this platform will help me get the treatment to help.
