For Mike and Theresa Fetrow, Hunter, Kayden, Wesley and pups Kaiser
If you are reading this, you know that the home my daughter, Theresa Fetrow made with her husband Mike and their kids Hunter 14, Kayden 6, and Welsey 11 months and pup Kaiser…was tragically set fire on March 30th.
Everyone was able to get out safely within minutes of the fire starting and thankfully the fire never breached the house. The only fire damage is outside, the porch, the siding and windows on the front of the house. The inside has sustained smoke damage to the degree that the cleaning company advised everything plastic, fabric or would be put into their mouths on the 1st floor must be replaced.
Anyone who knows me a little knows asking for help is not on my list of things I do. I would give you the shirt off my back and never let you know I was cold. My daughter is my mini me in this regard….then the fire….
So many people have reached out wanting to help, I get it…I felt better when she asked me to pick up groceries for her. When someone hurts, true friends, real people, they want to help.
So…with their permission I am letting the world know how they can help. Exactly what is stressing them the most.
The super high deductible on their homeowners insurance…because no one ever thinks they will EVER need to use it….they set their deductible at $4,000….good grief….
Replacing the fabric/plastic/goes into your mouth , stuff on the 1st floor……almost all of Kayden and Wesley’s toys….well…I think ALL of Wesley’s toys are plastic at this point…but the pack and play is cloth, the walker/play tables are plastic, the binkies, bottles, and baby spoons and forks….Kaydens’ toy trucks ..Fire trucks, garbage trucks…all of them, with their little bins and drivers, along with all his other toys…Kaisers brand new dog bed and his toys….it all has to be thrown out and replaced. If there is anything to be thankful of, Hunter had just had a remodeled bedroom in the attic, most all of his stuff was OK as far as we know now.
Yes, these things will be replaced with insurance, but no one knows how long that will take.
All I would like to do is ease their stress. They have enough to deal with emotionally and physically to bring the house back to being a home, where they can again feel safe and secure.
If you feel called to, please help. I know I will appreciate every dollar of assistance and they will forever be grateful to their friends who have helped out when the unthinkable happened to their home.
Forever thankful
