*Update June 2019*

After meeting with the medical team, Alison and Cory decided to go forward with a tracheostomy for Jackson, something he will need for 2 to 3 years. To protect his heart from his pulmonary hypertension getting any worse and to allow his lungs to continue to heal, this was their only option to get him home. Jackson had the surgery for the tracheostomy on May 24 and has been healing nicely.

Developmentally, this will be a huge benefit to him as he will be able to sit up more, do tummy time, and start more intense physical and feeding therapies. Cory and Alison are now required to complete a training course in Philadelphia over the next 8-12 weeks before Jackson can come home. As you can imagine, this requires lots of driving back and forth and arranging childcare for Connor while they are gone. Once Jackson comes home, he will require 24-hour nursing care for the duration of his trach (2-3 years). To get their home ready for him, Alison and Cory will need to purchase a back-up generator, an additional refrigerator, a special crib, storage for all his equipment, and special clothes to accommodate for his trach and g-tube. They are in the process of applying for a waiver to make sure his nursing care is covered, but it is not guaranteed.

Despite all obstacles, they are just so thrilled that Jackson is almost ready to join his brother at home and are beyond grateful for everything. The past 9 months have been incredibly stressful and full of uncertainty, but they are so thankful for all the amazing people who have helped along the way along with the outpouring of love and support.

Much love, and even more thanks. xoxo.

*UPDATE*
Hello,

First, I want to thank everyone for their kind words and generous donations to help this beautiful family along their journey.
With that said I wanted to provide an update on the twins and what is currently going on with Alison and Cory.
Some exciting news to report is that Connor was able to leave the NICU and go home and is doing well!
I had the pleasure of finally meeting him and I fell completely in love with his beautiful blue eyes. He is a blessing and Alison and Cory are over the moon and so thankful for all the love, thoughts and prayers that came their way to get Connor to where he is today.
Alison and Cory have been superhero parents during this time, since having one child home and one child in the NICU is not easy. They somehow managed to make it work and are proving every day just how incredible they are as parents.

Last week they got some news that Jackson would need to be transferred to CHOP. They immediately began making their plans about how to logistically make that work, but sometimes life throws you a curve ball and your plans need to change in the blink of an eye.
On the day Jackson was supposed to be transferred by ambulance he became very unstable and had to be intubated, sedated and airlifted to CHOP for more aggressive care. I am not a parent, but I'm sure this had to be one of the most terrifying experiences for this family along their journey.

Jackson made it safely to CHOP and is currently in their care and will be able to receive the treatment this little fighter needs to get better.

Currently Alison is going to be staying in Philly with Jackson for an undetermined amount of time, while Cory stays in NJ with Connor for appointments he has along with not wanting compromise any progress or risk him getting sick.

Please continue to keep this family in your thoughts as they continue along their journey. It is appreciated and felt by them more than you know.

Much love,
Rachel

As most know, Alison and Cory welcomed their twin boys, Connor and Jackson, into the world earlier than expected on September 11, 2018. At 27 weeks, the boys started their journey in the NICU. Over the past six weeks, they have shown us that they are little fighters! Both Connor and Jackson have quite a road ahead of them. Alison and Cory have been by their side for every moment and are already the most phenomenal parents two little boys could ask for.
Connor and Jackson are fighting every day to get a little bit bigger and a little bit stronger, and their fight is long from over. Alison and Cory have already started to receive medical bills for care that is not covered by insurance. Since Connor and Jackson’s arrival, many people have reached out to ask how they can help. I'm setting up this campaign for anyone who wants to donate anything they can. Alison and Cory have enough to stress about, so let’s pull together and alleviate some of their worries so they can focus on their little guys.

Much love and thanks.
